My Wellness Journey

Over twenty years ago, I transitioned from a career in IT as a programmer to pursue my true passion in the fitness industry. Motivated by a desire to help others improve their health - particularly those recovering from injuries, illnesses, or requiring rehabilitation - I became a certified Personal Trainer, specialising in pre- and post-natal exercise as well as achieving a level 4 qualification in chronic lower back pain.

All About Me

To broaden my expertise, I went on to earn additional qualifications in Pre/Postnatal training and obtained a GP Referral certification, which enabled me to collaborate with the NHS in supporting patients through recovery-focused exercise. These experiences have allowed me to assist a wide range of individuals, from new mothers in postnatal recovery to clients managing long-term injuries or health conditions. Seeking to provide even greater variety and safe, effective movement options, I expanded my training to include the Pilates method.

Initially, I joined Pilates classes to enhance my performance in rock climbing and cycling. Over time, I discovered its invaluable benefits during both of my pregnancies, helping me stay active, strong, and balanced throughout pregnancy and into the postnatal period.

My ongoing fascination with anatomy and dedication to supporting others eventually led me to embark on a three-year journey to study Acupuncture, completing my degree in July 2024. This additional expertise has enriched both my Pilates instruction and my acupuncture practice, enabling me to approach health, movement, and recovery with a deeper, more holistic understanding of the human body.

When I’m not guiding others through Pilates or supporting healing through acupuncture, you’ll often find me in the forest - soaking up the peace of nature while mountain biking, running or simple walking among the trees.​​
